STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Thirteen

AN ACT making an appropriation to the department of education to fund career and technical student organizations.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Appropriation; Department of Education; Career and Technical Student Organizations. The sum of $125,000 for the biennium ending June 30, 2015 is hereby appropriated to the department of education to fund the activities of career and technical student organizations. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2013.

HB 270-FN-A - FISCAL NOTE

AN ACT making an appropriation to the department of education to fund career and technical student organizations.

FISCAL IMPACT:

      The Department of Education states this bill, as introduced, will increase state general fund expenditures by $62,500 in FY 2014, and $62,500 in FY 2015. There is no fiscal impact on state, county, and local revenue, or county and local expenditures.

    This bill appropriates $125,000 from the state general fund to the Department of Education for the biennium ending June 30, 2015 for the purposes of this act.

METHODOLOGY:

    The Department of Education states this bill appropriates $125,000 of state general funds for the biennium ending June 30, 2015 to fund the activities of career and technical student organizations (CTSO). The Department states this money will be distributed equally between FY 2014 and FY 2015. Each of seven CTSOs will receive $14,500 over the biennium, while $23,500 will be allocated to professional development to support state-wide leadership activities in CTSOs. Accordingly, the Department states general fund expenditures will increase by $62,500 in both FY 2014 and FY 2015.
