STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Thirteen

AN ACT relative to medical examination requirements for commercial drivers’ licenses.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Commercial Licensing; Classifications, Endorsements, and Restrictions. Amend RSA 263:92 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:

III. The commissioner shall issue a restricted commercial driver license to an otherwise eligible driver who fails keep current in the files of the division a medical examination report in accordance with federal regulations. This restricted license shall prohibit the holder from operating a commercial motor vehicle outside the state of New Hampshire and shall also prohibit the holder from operating a commercial motor vehicle with actual weight of more than 26,000 pounds.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
