AN ACT directing the school administrative unit legislative oversight committee to study the consolidation of school administrative units.

This bill requires the school administrative unit legislative oversight committee to study the advantages, disadvantages, and costs associated with consolidating school administrative units statewide into one school administrative unit in each county, except for Hillsborough and Rockingham counties which would have 2 school administrative units each.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Thirteen
AN ACT directing the school administrative unit legislative oversight committee to study the consolidation of school administrative units.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Legislative Oversight Committee; Consolidation of School Administrative Units. The legislative oversight committee established in RSA 194-C:11 shall, in addition to its duties set forth in RSA 194-C:12, study the advantages, disadvantages, and costs associated with consolidating school administrative units statewide into one school administrative unit in each county, except for Hillsborough and Rockingham counties which would have 2 school administrative units each. The committee shall report its findings and any recommendations for proposed legislation to the president of the senate, the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate clerk, the house clerk, the governor, and the state library on or before November 1, 2013.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
