STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fourteen

AN ACT relative to the proration of payments in lieu of taxes for renewable generation facilities among school districts.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Payment in Lieu of Taxes for Renewable Generation Facilities. Amend RSA 72:74, III to read as follows:

III. If a municipality that contains more than one school district receives a payment in lieu of taxes under this section, the proceeds shall be reduced by the amount of the host town’s current year county tax liability and the remainder shall be prorated to the districts in the same manner as local taxes are prorated to the districts, or in the case of a cooperative school district between the city or town and pre-existing school district.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect April 1, 2014.
