AN ACT relative to renewal of emergency medical technician-intermediate licenses.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Licensure of Emergency Medical Providers; EMT-I Renewals; Rulemaking. Amend RSA 153-A:11, II to read as follows:
II. The commissioner shall establish, by rule, levels of individual licensure and application forms for licensure under this section. The commissioner may use the guidelines established by the American College of Surgeons’ Board of Regents as a standard or other such standards, except that a felony conviction shall not necessarily disqualify an applicant. The commissioner shall by rule permit a person licensed as an EMT-I prior to September 8, 2010, who meets all other requirements for licensure, to renew his or her EMT-I license without explicitly qualifying as an advanced emergency medical technician (AEMT), provided such exception shall not exceed a 15-year period for a licensee.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
