STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fifteen

AN ACT directing the commissioners of the department of resources and economic development and the department of environmental services to develop a business development plan to attract certain businesses to New Hampshire.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Business Development Plan to Attract Firms that Require a Sustainable Water Supply to New?Hampshire.

I. The commissioner of the department of resources and economic development and the commissioner of the department of environmental services shall create a business development plan to attract businesses that require a sustainable water supply to New Hampshire. The plan shall:

(a) Evaluate the impact such businesses would have on state resources.

(b) Identify industries that would be considered at risk if long-term drought conditions threatened their operation and, within that group, identify and rank businesses that would be ideal candidates to relocate operations to New Hampshire.

(c) Identify labor needs for businesses determined to have a high potential for relocation to New Hampshire.

(d) Develop a strategy for attracting such firms to New Hampshire.

II. On or before July 1, 2017, the commissioners shall submit the plan to the governor, the speaker of the house of representatives, the president of the senate, the house clerk, the senate clerk, and the state library.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
