STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fifteen

AN ACT relative to appointing undeclared voters as inspectors of election.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Inspectors of Election; Undeclared Voters. Amend RSA 658 by inserting after section 2 the following new section:

658:2-a Appointment of Undeclared Voters. If the selectmen are appointing inspectors of election under RSA 658:2 because a party or both parties have not appointed a full complement of inspectors, and the selectmen are unable to make the required appointments from the appropriate party or parties, the selectmen may appoint undeclared voters so long as the number of undeclared voters appointed is not greater than the combined total of inspectors who are registered as members of the 2 parties.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
