AN ACT relative to arc-fault circuit-breaker protection in residential construction.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fifteen

AN ACT relative to arc-fault circuit-breaker protection in residential construction.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; State Building Code Review Board. Amend RSA 155-A:10 by inserting after paragraph VI the following new paragraph:

VII. Notwithstanding any requirement of the 2014 National Electric Code, as amended, the state building code review board shall not adopt or enforce any rule requiring the installation of arc-fault circuit-interrupter protection in any new residential construction project.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2016.
