STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

 

AN ACT\trelative to the duties of and meeting requirements for the judicial council.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

\t1  Duties of the Judicial Council.  Amend RSA 494:3, V to read as follows:

\t\tV.  To serve as a catalyst for the discussion of legal and judicial issues through seminars, forums and special studies, and any other means[, within the limits of available state and private funding].

\t\tV-a.  To allow the public to speak on any issue at meetings of the judicial council.

\t2  Judicial Council Meetings.  Amend RSA 494:4 to read as follows:

\t494:5  Meetings.  The regular meetings of the council shall be held in January, April, June, and October of each year, and at such other times as the council or its chairman may determine.  The executive director of the judicial council shall publish a notice of each council meeting in the house calendar at least 10 days in advance of the meeting.

\t3  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
