STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen
AN ACT\trequiring the department of transportation to upgrade a portion of road in the town of Pittsfield.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
\t1 Department of Transportation. Main Street in Pittsfield. The department of transportation shall repair and upgrade the section of Main Street in Pittsfield from the intersection of Water Street to the intersection of Mountain Road.
\t2 Appropriation; Repair of Main Street in Pittsfield. The sum of $1 is hereby appropriated to the department of transportation for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017 for the purposes of this act. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
\t3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2016.

AN ACT\trequiring the department of transportation to upgrade a portion of road in the town of Pittsfield.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Department of Transportation states this bill, as introduced, will increase state expenditures by $500,000 in FY 2017, $350,000 in FY 2018, $300,000 in FY 2019, and $4,000,000 in FY 2020. There will be no impact on state, county, and local revenues or county and local expenditures.
This bill appropriates $1 in FY 2017 from the state general fund to the Department of Transportation for the purpose of this act.
METHODOLOGY:
The Department of Transportation states this bill requires the repair and upgrade of a 1.4 mile stretch of roadway in Pittsfield, New Hampshire from the intersection of Water Street to the intersection of Mountain Road. The Department states based on a bill passage date of July 1, 2016, it assumes a draft schedule with the planning phase ending July 2017, preliminary design ending July 2018, public hearing and environmental approvals by December 2018, final design by December 2020 followed by advertising for bids, and a project completion date of October 2022. The Department estimates the following costs related to this project and anticipates the source of funding to be the Federal Aid Program:
