STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

 

AN ACT\trelative to prohibitions on the employment of youth.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

\t1  Youth Employment Law; Prohibitions.  Amend RSA 276-A:4, II to read as follows:

 \t\tII. No youth under 16 years of age shall be employed or permitted to work without a certificate except:

 \t\t\t(a)  For his or her parents, grandparents, or guardian;

   \t\t\t(b)  At work defined in this chapter as casual; [or]

    \t\t\t(c)  As farm labor;

\t\t\t(d)  For an employer who obtains and maintains on file a signed and notarized document from the youth's parent or legal guardian permitting the youth's employment.

\t2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
