\tThis bill requires the commissioner of the department of transportation to file with the planning board of an affected town a plan for any new traffic or directional sign to be placed on a scenic byway within the town.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen
AN ACT\trequiring notice to planning boards of placement of signs on scenic byways.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
\t120:1 New Section; Scenic and Cultural Byways System; Traffic and Directional Signs on Scenic and Cultural Byways. Amend RSA 238 by inserting after section 24 the following new section:
\t238:25 Traffic and Directional Signs on Scenic and Cultural Byways.
\t\tI. The commissioner of the department of transportation shall file with the planning board of a town a plan for any new traffic or directional sign to be placed on a scenic or cultural byway within such town with no additional cost to the department.
\t\tII. The planning board may hold a public hearing and suggest changes to the plan for the purpose of maintaining the scenic nature of the byway; however, the department shall not be required to comply with any such suggestion.
\t120:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
