STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen

 

AN ACT relative to alternate members of an elected planning board.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Alternate Members of Planning Boards.  Amend RSA 673:6, II to read as follows:

II.  An elected planning board may appoint 5 alternate members for a term of 3 years each, which shall be staggered in the same manner as elected members pursuant to RSA 673:5, II.  All alternate members shall be residents of the town.  A selectman or administrative official of the town shall be appointed as the alternate member for selectman or administrative official member chosen by the selectman.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
