STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen
AN ACT relative to gold star number plates.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Gold Star Number Plates; Eligibility. Amend RSA 261:87-c, I to read as follows:
I. The department shall furnish one set of special number plates, designed by the director with the approval of the commissioner, for one motor vehicle owned by a mother of a person killed while on duty in the United States armed forces. These gold star number plates shall be issued upon payment of the regular registration fees. There shall be no number plate fees for gold star number plates. If gold star number plates have not been furnished for a motor vehicle owned by the mother of a person killed while on duty in the United States armed forces, the department shall furnish the special number plates for a motor vehicle owned by the stepmother of such person.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
