AN ACT relative to operation of uninspected vehicles by licensed New Hampshire dealers.

ANALYSIS
This bill allows a licensed New Hampshire dealer to operate an uninspected vehicle within 24 hours of the date of the vehicle's purchase.
This bill was requested by the department of safety.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen
AN ACT relative to operation of uninspected vehicles by licensed New Hampshire dealers.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Driving of Uninspected Vehicles; Purchase by Dealer. Amend RSA 266:6 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:
III. A licensed New Hampshire dealer who purchases an uninspected used vehicle may operate such vehicle from its location at the time of the sale to the dealer's place of business within 24 hours of the date of purchase of such vehicle as shown on the bill of sale, provided that the vehicle is safe for road use.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
