AN ACT relative to traveler information signs on highways.

ANALYSIS

 

This bill provides that the fee charged to a nonprofit organization for advertising space on a limited access highway shall be limited to the initial cost of the sign or its replacement.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen

 

AN ACT relative to traveler information signs on highways.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Paragraph; Limited Access Highways; Advertising Space; Fee for Nonprofits.  Amend RSA 230:52 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:

III.  The fee charged to a registered nonprofit organization that maintains a building or site open to the public shall be limited to the cost of the initial creation and placement of the sign, or its replacement.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
