AN ACT marking the Lafayette Trail in New Hampshire.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen

 

AN ACT marking the Lafayette Trail in New Hampshire.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Designation of the Lafayette Trail.  

I.  Pursuant to RSA 4:43, the following portions of the following state ways shall be designated and known as the Lafayette Trail:

(a)  That portion of New Hampshire Route 28 beginning in the town of Salem at the Massachusetts state line up to the intersection with Island Pond Road.

(b)  That portion of New Hampshire Route 28B beginning in the town of Derry and continuing northward up to the intersection with state Route 3.

(c)  That portion of state highway Route 3 beginning in the town of Hooksett and continuing northward to the intersection with Pleasant Street.

(d)  That portion of state highway Route 3 beginning in the town of Suncook at the intersection of Turnpike Street and continuing northward to the intersection with state Route 9.

(e)  That portion of New Hampshire Route 9 beginning in the town of Concord at the intersection with state highway Route 3 continuing easterly until the intersection with Old Turnpike Road.

(f) That portion of New Hampshire Route 9 beginning in the town of Northwood at the intersection with state Route 107 continuing easterly until the intersection with the Old Concord Turnpike.

(g)  That portion of New Hampshire Route 155A beginning in the town of Durham at the intersection with state highway Route 4 continuing easterly until the intersection with Route 108.

(h)  That portion of New Hampshire Route 108 beginning in the town of Durham at the intersection with state highway Route 4 continuing northward until the intersection with Stark Avenue.

(i)  That portion of New Hampshire Route 9 beginning in the town of Dover at the intersection with Stark Avenue continuing northward until the intersection with state Route 4.

(j)  That portion of New Hampshire Route 4 beginning in the town of Dover at the intersection with Route 9 continuing northeasterly to the Maine state line.

(k)  That portion of state highway Route 202 beginning in the town of Concord at the intersection with state highway Route 3 continuing westerly until the intersection with state Route 103.

(l)  That portion of New Hampshire Route 103 beginning in the town of Hopkinton at the intersection with state highway Route 202 continuing westerly through the towns of Warner, Bradford, Newbury, Newport and Claremont until the intersection with New Hampshire Route 12A.

(m)  That portion of New Hampshire Route 12A beginning in the town of Claremont at the intersection with New Hampshire Route 103 continuing northward until the intersection with Bridge Street.

(n)  The Cornish-Windsor covered bridge road continuing westerly until the Vermont state line.

(o)  That portion of state highway Route 1 beginning in the town of Seabrook at the Massachusetts state line continuing northward until the intersection with Middle Street and Middle Road.

(p)  That portion of New Hampshire Route 151 beginning in the town of Hampton at the intersection with state highway Route 3 continuing northward until the intersection with Portsmouth Avenue.

(q)  That portion of New Hampshire Route 33 beginning in the town of Portsmouth at the intersection with Portsmouth Avenue continuing easterly until the intersection with Middle Street.

II.  The commissioner of the department of transportation may erect and maintain suitable signage or other markers at or near each portion of the Lafayette Trail.  Such signage or markers shall bear the Lafayette Trail logo used by the American Friends of Lafayette.  The cost of design, construction, maintenance, and installation of any signage, replacement signage, or other markers authorized in this act shall not be a charge to the state.  However, the design, construction, and installation of any signage or other markers authorized under this act shall be approved by the department of transportation.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
