ANALYSIS
This bill allows parents to obtain an exemption from vaccinations required for school attendance. The parent may claim the exemption for medical or religious reasons or as a matter of conscience.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Two
AN ACT relative to exemptions from school vaccine mandates.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Communicable Disease; Immunization Required for School Attendance; Grounds and Procedure for Exemption. RSA 141-C:20-c is repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
141-C:20-c Exemptions. A child shall be exempt from immunization if the child's parent or legal guardian submits a written request for a medical, religious, or conscientious objector exemption. The written request shall simply state: “I {Parent’s name}, here by submit this request for a medical, religious, or conscientious objector exemption from the mandated vaccinations required per RSA:141-C:20-a for my child, {Child's name}. {Parent/Guardian signature required}”. Upon receipt of the written request, the exemption shall be granted.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
