STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Two

 

AN ACT requiring an audit of the state police.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Performance Audit of the New Hampshire State Police.

I.  In addition to any other performance audit requirements, the audit division of the legislative budget assistant shall complete a performance audit of the New Hampshire state police.  The audit shall include an assessment of the proficiency, structure, financial dealings, and services provided by the organization.

II.  The legislative budget assistant shall complete the performance audit and resulting report not later than 9 months after the effective date of this section and shall submit the report to the governor, the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate president, the legislative performance audit and oversight committee, and the fiscal committee of the general court.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
