Amendment to HB 1369
Amend the title of the bill by replacing it with the following:
AN ACT relative to communicable disease health and safety policies at New Hampshire performing arts venues.
Amend the bill by replacing all after the enacting clause with the following:
1 New Chapter; Performing Arts Venues Communicable Disease Health and Safety Policies. Amend RSA by inserting after chapter 359-S the following new chapter:
CHAPTER 359-T
Performing Arts Venues Communicable Disease Health and Safety Policies
359-T:1 Performing Arts Venues; Communicable Disease Health and Safety Policies. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the owners, operators, and promoters of performing arts venues located in New Hampshire shall have the authority to establish communicable disease health and safety policies, including mask requirements, vaccine requirements, testing requirements, or a combination thereof, in order to protect patrons, staff, performers, and the venue's financial investments. If policies posted at the time of ticket purchase relative to communicable disease change after the ticket purchase is completed, the venue shall refund the ticket price at the patron's request, unless the patron has acknowledged that all orders are subject to venue policies at the time of the show, which may be different than the policies at the time of purchase.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
