Floor Amendment to SB 144-FN

Amend section 2 of the bill by replacing paragraph I with the following:

I.  The department of health and human services shall implement a 3-month pilot program to provide enrollment-based reimbursement to child care providers who accept child care scholarships through the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) plan for New Hampshire.  For the purposes of the pilot, enrollment-based billing shall continue unless a child exceeds 5 days of consecutive absence from the program without notification to the provider regarding circumstances and an agreed upon return date.  Medical documentation shall be provided for continuation in the program if the child's absence exceeds 5 days, either due to the child's or their parent or guardian's health condition that initiated the 5 day absence.
