Floor Amendment to SB 408-FN
Amend the bill by replacing all after the enacting clause with the following:
1 Findings. The general court recognizes the critical services and choices provided to families, newborns, and the health care community by freestanding birthing centers in New Hampshire.
2 Department of Health and Human Services; Facility Fee for Birthing Centers. The commissioner of the department of health and human services shall adopt by rule under RSA 541-A an amendment to the Medicaid facility fee reimbursement rate for freestanding birthing centers, as defined in RSA 151:2, to ensure that the rate is comparable to that for hospitals.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
