STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Three
AN ACT relative to a court security officer training program.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Police Standards and Training Council; Definitions. Amend RSA 106-L:2 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:
II-a. "Court security officer" means a security officer employed by the judicial branch who performs such duties as may be established under the order and direction of the chief justice of the supreme court.
2 New Paragraph; Police Standards and Training Council; Powers. Amend RSA 106-L:5 by inserting after paragraph XXII the following new paragraph:
XXII-a. Upon the request of, and with the approval of, the chief justice of the supreme court, develop a court security officer training and certification program to provide for the education, training, and certification of court security officers. The council may enter into such agreements with the judicial branch as may be necessary to implement a court security officer education, training, and certification program.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
