This bill allows a data match process between the department of health and human services and the office of professional licensure and certification to ensure that Medicaid providers have current valid licensure.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four

 

AN ACT relative to Medicaid provider enrollment licensure verification.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Paragraph; Department of Health and Human Services; Commissioner of Health and Human Services.  Amend RSA 126-A:5 by inserting after paragraph XXXIV the following new paragraph:

XXXV.  Notwithstanding any other provisions in the law, the department of health and human services may participate in a data match process with the office of professional licensure and certification to ensure that Medicaid providers have current valid licensure by matching the provider's first and last name and the provider's social security number or other taxpayer identification number.

2  New Paragraph; Office of Professional Licensure and Certification; Duties of Executive Director.  Amend RSA 310:4 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:

III.  Notwithstanding any other provisions in the law, the office of professional licensure and certification may participate in a data match process with the department of health and human services to ensure that Medicaid providers have current valid licensure by matching the provider's first and last name and the provider's social security number or other taxpayer identification number.

3  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2024.
