STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five
AN ACT relative to airing general court sessions on local government access channels.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Broadcasting General Court Sessions. Amend RSA 53-C by inserting after section 5 the following new section:
53-C:6 General Court Sessions. A municipality operating a local government access channel shall air sessions of the general court in a timely manner and at reasonable times if requested by a member of the general court who represents constituents within the area serviced by the local government access channel. The member of the general court who makes the request shall provide a prerecorded copy of the general court session in a format and on media of the local government access channel’s choosing.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
