STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five
AN ACT relative to notice of driver’s license suspension or revocation.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; License Suspension and Revocation; Notice. Amend RSA 263 by inserting after section 53 the following new section:
263:53-a Notice of Revocation or Suspension. Whenever the director revokes or suspends a person’s driver’s license, the director shall notify the person immediately of the revocation or suspension by certified mail, return receipt requested. Any person sent notice by certified mail under this section shall pay to the director a fee of $10 prior to the restoration of the person’s license, which shall be in addition to any other restoration fee. This section shall not apply to any revocation or suspension where notice of the revocation or suspension is served upon the person.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
