AN ACT relative to boat registration fees.

ANALYSIS

This bill permits authorized agents of the department of safety to charge a fee of not more than $2.50 for each boat registration processed. Current law permits a fee of $1.50.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five

AN ACT relative to boat registration fees.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Vessel Registration Fees; Agent Fee. Amend RSA 270-E:5, II(c) to read as follows:

(c) [$1.50] Not more than $2.50 for each registration processed by an authorized agent of the department who is not an employee of the department. The fees collected under this subparagraph shall be collected and retained by the authorized agent as compensation for processing the registration.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.
