STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five

AN ACT making an appropriation to the barn preservation fund.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Barn Preservation Fund; Appropriation. The sum of $1 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006 is hereby appropriated to the barn preservation fund established in RSA 227-C:28, for the purpose of preserving historic barns and agricultural structures in New Hampshire. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.

HB 272 FISCAL NOTE

AN ACT making an appropriation to the barn preservation fund.

FISCAL IMPACT:

      The Office of Legislative Budget Assistant has determined this bill, as amended by the House, (House Amendment # 2005-0608h), will increase state general fund expenditures by $1 in FY 2006. This bill will have no fiscal impact on state, county, and local revenue or county and local expenditures.

      This bill appropriates $1 from the general fund to the barn preservation fund in FY 2006 for the purposes of this act.

METHODOLOGY:

    The Department of Cultural Affairs, Division of Historical Resources is authorized to expend money in the barn preservation fund for the purposes of matching grants to preserve historic barns and agricultural structures in New Hampshire, as well as necessary program expenses. The appropriation will be used for these purposes.
