STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five

AN ACT relative to the review and approval of individualized education plans.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Special Education; Individualized Education Plans. Amend RSA 186-C:7, I to read as follows:

I. The development of an individualized education plan for each educationally disabled child shall be the responsibility of the school district in which the child resides or of the school district which bears financial responsibility for the child's education. Each individualized education plan shall be reviewed by the school board or a subcommittee of a school board and shall be approved by the school board.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
