This bill requires any person erecting, installing, maintaining, or exercising control over a mooring on Bow Lake to obtain a mooring permit from the division of safety services, department of safety.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five

AN ACT relative to moorings on Bow Lake.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Where Mooring Permit Required; Bow Lake Added. Amend RSA 270:61, I to read as follows:

I. Any person erecting, installing, maintaining, or exercising control over a mooring on Lake Winnipesaukee; Lake Winnisquam; Squam Lakes; Newfound Lake; Ossipee Lake; Bow Lake; and Lake Sunapee shall obtain a mooring permit from the division as provided in this subdivision.

2 Applicability. Any person maintaining a mooring on Bow Lake on the effective date of this act shall be entitled to a permit for the mooring. The division shall not cap the number of mooring permits available for Bow Lake at any number less than 100.

3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
