STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five

AN ACT authorizing the establishment of a moose permit raffle by the fish and game department.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Moose Permit; Raffle Authorized. Amend RSA 208:1-a by inserting after paragraph II-a the following new paragraph:

II-b. The executive director, with the consent of the commission, may authorize, under rules adopted by the executive director pursuant to RSA 541-A, the establishment of a special annual raffle for one moose permit annually. Such raffle shall offer raffle tickets at a number and price to be determined in rules but which shall not exceed 500 tickets and $100 per ticket. The permit issued under this paragraph shall not be limited to use in any management zone designated by the department or to any gender of moose, provided all other applicable requirements of the department are followed. Participation in the raffle shall have no effect on a person’s participation in the moose lottery and bonus point system under paragraph II-a. RSA 647 shall not apply to the sale of raffle tickets under this paragraph. All funds received from ticket sales by the department shall be used by the executive director for the upgrading, operation, and administration of the Barry conservation camp.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
