AN ACT relative to county employment for Sullivan county.

This bill requires the Sullivan county commissioners to have prior approval from the executive committee, and a majority vote of the executive committee and the commissioners, for hiring county employees for Sullivan county.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven

AN ACT relative to county employment for Sullivan county.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Counties; Sullivan County Employees. Amend RSA 28:10 to read as follows:

28:10 Employees, Counties. The commissioners of each county shall employ such number of clerks and agents as said commissioners deem necessary.

I. In Hillsborough county the county commissioner, any elected or appointed official, prior to establishing any new position within said county, shall obtain written approval from the Hillsborough county executive committee for such new position.

II. In Sullivan county, prior to establishing or employing any person for a management or superintendent position with the county, the county commissioners shall have prior approval from the executive committee. A decision to employ a person for the county shall require a majority vote of the executive committee and the county commissioners.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
