STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven
AN ACT relative to notification of a parent or guardian by the medical facility treating a minor injured in an accident.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Notification of Parent or Guardian Required. Amend RSA 151 by inserting after section 12-a the following new section:
151:12-b Notification of Parent or Guardian Required. Whenever a person under the age of 18 years of age is injured in an accident and taken by emergency responder to a health care facility, the person in charge of such facility, or designee, shall notify the parent or guardian of the minor in a timely manner.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
