AN ACT naming the Epsom traffic circle in honor of Officer Jeremy Charron and Officer Michael Briggs and naming a portion of Route 4 in honor of Officer Michael Briggs.

This bill names the Epsom traffic circle in honor of Officer Jeremy Charron and Officer Michael Briggs. The bill also names the portion of Route 4 passing through the town of Epsom after Officer Michael Briggs.

AN ACT naming the Epsom traffic circle in honor of Officer Jeremy Charron and Officer Michael Briggs and naming a portion of Route 4 in honor of Officer Michael Briggs.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
57:1 Epsom Traffic Circle Named in Honor of Officer Jeremy Charron and Officer Michael Briggs. Pursuant to RSA 4:43, the traffic circle in the town of Epsom which marks the convergence of Routes 4 and 28 is hereby named the Officer Jeremy Charron and Officer Michael Briggs Traffic Circle. Appropriate markers shall be placed on U.S. Routes 4/202 east and west and on Route 28 north and south at the point where these roads enter the traffic circle.
57:2 Route 4 in Epsom Named in Honor of Officer Michael Briggs. Pursuant to RSA 4:43, the portion of Route 4 from the Northwood-Epsom town line to the Chichester-Epsom town line shall be named the Michael Briggs Highway in honor of Officer Michael Briggs.
57:3 Signage. The cost of design, construction, maintenance, and installation of any signage, replacement signage, or other markers resulting from this act shall not be a charge to the state. However, the design, construction, and installation of any signage or other markers required under sections 1-2 of this act shall be approved by the department of transportation.
57:4 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
