AN ACT changing the name of the pari-mutuel commission to the racing and charitable gaming commission.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
25:1 Name Changes From Pari-Mutuel Commission to Racing and Charitable Gaming Commission. Amend the following RSA provisions by replacing “pari-mutuel commission” with “racing and charitable gaming commission:” RSA 20:7; 21:33-a, III(a); 21-I:18, I(n); 21-P:4, VI; 175:1, LVI; 188-F:27, VI; 273-C:2, VI; the subdivision heading preceding 284:6; 284:6-a; 284:7; the introductory paragraph of 284:12; 284:17-c; 284:20-d; 284:20-f, I; 284:20-g, I; 284:21-j, I; 284:22, I, II, and IV; 284:23, VII; 284:32-b; 284:38-a; 287-A:8, III; 287-D:1-a; the introductory paragraph of 287-D:1-b; 287-D:2, II; 287-D:2-a; 287-D:2-b; 287-D:2-c, II, IV, and V; 287-D:2-d; 287-D:3, VII; 287-D:5, I, V, and VI; 287-D:6, III; 287-D:7; 287-D:8; 287-D:9; 287-E:1, VI; 287-E:2; 287-E:16; and 647:2, V(a).
25:2 Reference Change. Amend RSA 94:1-a, II to read as follows:
II. The salary wages for the positions set forth below shall be as follows commencing January 4, 2008:

Governor’s councilors $14,379
[Pari-mutuel] Racing and charitable gaming commissioners $ 11,151
Sweepstakes commission, chairman $16,219
Sweepstakes commission, members $ 9,130
25:3 Reference Change; Version Effective January 2, 2009. Amend RSA 94:1-a, II to read as follows:
II. The salary wages for the positions set forth below shall be as follows commencing January 2, 2009:

Governor’s councilors $15,169
[Pari-mutuel] Racing and charitable gaming commissioners $11,765
Sweepstakes commission, chairman $17,111

25:4 Effective Date.
I. Section 3 of this act shall take effect January 2, 2009 at 12:01 a.m.
II. The remainder of this act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
