AN ACT relative to the application of the civil unions law to the retirement system.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight
AN ACT relative to the application of the civil unions law to the retirement system.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
347:1 New Section; Civil Unions. Amend RSA 100-A by inserting after section 2-a the following new section:
100-A:2-b Civil Unions. RSA 457-A shall not apply to this chapter to the extent that such application will violate the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or other federal law.
347:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2008 at 12:01 a.m.
