STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine
AN ACT relative to emergency generators in manufactured housing parks.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Manufactured Housing Parks; Emergency Generator for Well Water Supply. Amend RSA 205-A:13-c by inserting after paragraph IV the following new paragraph:
V. If the water supply for a manufactured housing park with 4 or more tenants is a private well, the park owner shall be responsible for installing and maintaining an emergency generator of sufficient capacity to operate the well for a minimum of 48 hours during an interruption of the normal electrical supply. The park owner shall be responsible for performing all recommended maintenance and tests on the emergency generator as specified by the manufacturer of the generator or as recommended by the person or entity performing the installation.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
