STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine

AN ACT prohibiting the use of information concerning education level to underwrite insurance coverage.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Unfair Insurance Practices; Education Level. Amend RSA 417:4 by inserting after paragraph XXII the following new paragraph:

XXIII. EDUCATION LEVEL. Requesting information concerning educational level and using such information to rate or underwrite insurance coverage.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2010.
