STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Ten
AN ACT naming a bridge in Wolfeboro in honor of Spc. Matthew J. Stanley.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Renaming the Smith River Bridge in Honor of Spc. Matthew J. Stanley. Pursuant to RSA 4:43, the Smith River bridge (#112-110) on route 28 in the town of Wolfeboro shall be hereby named the Spc. Matthew J. Stanley Memorial Bridge in honor of Spc. Matthew J. Stanley who was killed while on duty in Taji, Iraq on December 16, 2006. Appropriate signage or markers may be placed at the bridge.
2 Signage. The cost of design, construction, maintenance, and installation of any signage, replacement signage, or other markers authorized under section 1 of this act shall not be a charge to the state. However, the design, construction, and installation of any signage or other markers authorized under this act shall be approved by the department of transportation.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
