AN ACT relative to the effective date of certain provisions of the involuntary commitment of sexually violent predators statute.

This bill changes the effective date for sections 10-14 relative to involuntary commitment of sexually violent predators in 2009, 306 (SB 142) from September 1, 2010 to July 1, 2010.

AN ACT relative to the effective date of certain provisions of the involuntary commitment of sexually violent predators statute.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Involuntary Commitment of Sexually Violent Predators; Effective Date Amended. Amend 2009; 306:17, I to read as follows:

I. Sections 10-14 of this act shall take effect [September] July 1, 2010.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
