STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven
AN ACT requiring providers of prepaid cellular telephone service to provide subscriber information to the enhanced 911 system.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Enhanced 911 System; Subscriber Information From Providers of Prepaid Cellular Telephone Service. Amend RSA 106-H by inserting after section 10 the following new section:
106-H:10-a Provision of Prepaid Telephone Subscriber Information. Each provider of prepaid commercial mobile radio service shall provide to the bureau for inclusion in the enhanced 911 database in such format as the commissioner may require, the name, street address, city, and state of the purchaser of the service and the telephone number assigned to such purchaser sold by an agent within the state of New Hampshire with a New Hampshire billing address. This information may be submitted by the provider or an authorized agent of the provider. For purposes of this section, the term “purchaser” means the end user of the service at the retail level.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2012.
