Identification of Dental Prosthetic Appliances

317-A:39 Identification of Dental Prosthetic Appliances.

I. Every complete upper and lower denture or removable dental prosthetic appliance, diagnostic or therapeutic mouth guard, athletic mouth guard, or orthodontic retainer, fabricated by a dentist licensed by the board or fabricated pursuant to such dentist’s written prescription order, shall be marked with the name of the patient for whom the prosthesis is intended. The identification marks may be omitted only if it is impracticable or not clinically safe.
