STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven
AN ACT allowing the sale and possession of monk parakeets.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Monk Parakeets. Amend RSA 437 by inserting after section 17 the following new section:
437:17-a Monk Parakeets. Monk parakeets (Myiopsitta monachus), also known as quaker parrots, may be possessed and sold within the state.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
