SENATE BILL 30
AN ACT relative to including a parent’s residence in the parenting plan.

This bill requires the parenting plan to include the legal residence of each parent, unless the court finds that such disclosure would not be in the best interest of the child or there is a history of abuse.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven
AN ACT relative to including a parent’s residence in the parenting plan.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Parenting Plans; Parent’s Residence. Amend RSA 461-A:4 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:
III. If the parents have joint decision-making responsibility under RSA 461-A:5, the parenting plan shall include the legal residence of each parent unless there is a history of abuse, as defined in RSA 173-B:1, or the court otherwise finds that including such information would not be in the best interest of the child.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2012.
