AN ACT relative to negotiations for contracts for county employees.

ANALYSIS

This bill requires that a member of the county convention meet with and observe the negotiations for a county employee contract in order to provide information on the costs items in any contract to be approved for the convention.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twelve

AN ACT relative to negotiations for contracts for county employees.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Counties; Commissioners Negotiations; Convention Representative. Amend RSA 28 by inserting after section 10-b the following new section:

28:10-c Negotiations with Employee Representatives. For all negotiations between the commissioners and employee representatives pursuant to RSA 273-A, the county convention shall designate a member of the convention to meet with and observe the negotiations for the purpose of advising the convention of the cost items contained in any proposed contract to be approved by the county convention.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
