HOUSE BILL 1184
AN ACT relative to the use of videotape evidence of criminal activity.

This bill provides that photographic, videotaped, or digitally recorded evidence shall not, by itself, constitute grounds for making an arrest without a warrant.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twelve
AN ACT relative to the use of videotape evidence of criminal activity.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Arrest Without a Warrant. Amend RSA 594:10 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:
III. Photographic, videotaped, or digitally recorded evidence of criminal activity shall, by itself, not constitute sufficient grounds for making an arrest without a warrant under this section.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
