AN ACT relative to restrictions on beverage manufacturers.

ANALYSIS

This bill:

I. Increases the size of servings that may be consumed on the premises of a nano brewery.

II. Prohibits the liquor commission from requiring federal label approval for New Hampshire beverages.

III. Repeals a prohibition on advertising in certain publications by liquor licensees.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twelve

AN ACT relative to restrictions on beverage manufacturers.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Nano Brewery; Sales. Amend RSA 178:12-a, III(e) to read as follows:

(e) Sales for consumption on the premises shall be limited to one [4-ounce] 16-ounce glass per label per person.

2 Repeal. RSA 179:31, XII, relative to advertising in certain publications, is repealed.

3 Label Approval Not Required. The liquor commission shall not, by rule or otherwise, require a beverage vendor, beverage manufacturer, nano brewery, or brew pub to obtain federal label approval for beverages sold exclusively in the state of New Hampshire.

4 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
