STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twelve

AN ACT relative to educational requirements for teacher certification.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 State Board of Education; Duties. Amend RSA 186:11, X(a) to read as follows:

(a) Certification of full-time teachers teaching in the core academic subjects of mathematics, social studies, English/language arts, and science, supervisors, and administrators in the public schools, and which shall require all full-time teachers to have at least a bachelor’s degree in any field of study to be eligible for certification. The state board shall also examine the qualifications of candidates for those positions and issue certificates to those who meet the requirements of said rules.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
