STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twelve

AN ACT relative to seizure of personal property.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Seizure of Personal Property. Amend RSA 594:10 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:

III. At no time shall a police officer who does not have a search warrant seize any personal property of a subject who is not under arrest.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
