STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twelve

AN ACT relative to political committees.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Political Committee. Amend RSA 664:2, III to read as follows:

III. “Political committee” means any organization of 2 or more persons to influence elections or measures, including the political committee of a political party as defined in paragraph V. “Political committee” includes any organization that does not have as its major purpose promoting, defeating, or influencing candidate elections but that receives contributions or makes expenditures aggregating more than $5,000 in a calendar year for the purpose of promoting, defeating, or influencing in any way the nomination or election of any candidate to political office.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
